Dog barks, how to control?

I don’t feel good about a shock collar.

My dog barks at everyone. It doesn’t help matters that he is a german shepherd and looks like a police dog.

Positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement, none of them seem to work. I need suggestions.

if those solutions havn’t worked yet might i suggest a static bark collar or if you think that is inhumane might i also suggest a citronella spray bark collar. both of which are effective and work well.

The cintronella collar is a good one. If you use a shock collar you are just going to hurt and confuse your dog.
I also have heard about some sort of sound emitting collar. I have yet to try such a thing, but it sounds like a good idea.

I’ve tried the sound emitting collar, known as a ultrasonic bark collar, it didn’t work. My neighbors turned me on to them as they work really well for their smaller sized dogs but it didn’t work that well for my Dane. I learned that a good way to see if a ultrasonic bark collar will work for your dog is to get a dog training whistle and to see how the dog responds to it.
