Is this hurting my dog?

OK, so I have my dog pull me when I skateboard. We would go in an empty parking lot and go in circles until she was tired. It was the only way to get her energy out! (three year old yellow lab) So when I broke my leg, I sat on the skateboard and had her pull me… But I saw a Commercial for a thing that got the dog to stop pulling. And it said when they pull it hurts their neck and now I am a little worried that I might be abusing her.

Please help!

    If you are having her pull you while she is attached to a leash by a dog collar, yes you need to STOP doing that. Get yourself a good dog harness, they are much better to use when skateboarding and won’t hurt or harm your dog. Dog collars can still be worn with dog harnesses.

    Yeah, get a harness. There are all kinds and that is gonna get the dog the workout you are looking for. When your leg gets better, consider riding yr bike or *gulp* jogging.

    If yr dog has that kind of high energy, you need to also consider teaching that lab to fetch. Whn u can’t throw too far, there are toys u can get to throw a ball for about a quarter mile or something. That’ll wear out yr pooch.

    HARNESS. GET ONE> a leash is just going to hurt/choke your dog.

    so this is where i need help i have a male Golden Retriever its fixed and around 2-3 years still a puppy its a big dog very strong but it just came about a week ago and my grandma has a dog its a shepherd husky mix but it was the runt around the same age and has also been fixed shes a girl but all they do is bark at each other all night and hen they get loose they go sr8 to start fighting my Retriever is much bigger and stronger and my grandmas dog being the runt is smaller but looks much more vicious i really dont know what to do help!!! P.S there is know where else to move them they have a clear view at each other
